#233: What is Healthy Profit University?

Hello there, health coaches. I took a little trip down memory lane before recording this episode. I went way back in my files to the very first launch of Healthy Profit University, which was in 2017. We had seven founding members who got in on the ground floor, literally as I created a step-by-step marketing curriculum for health coaches is based on my own experience and building my own health coaching business. Not to mention my extensive background in advertising and online marketing. In the past seven years, we've had around 2000 health coaches go through what is now known as Healthy Profit University's core curriculum. It's crazy, right? To think of something that you start in your business and to see it grow year to year. It's just, it's massive to look back on and think of all that we've accomplished in the past seven years, and it's been such a joy to watch coaches take the necessary steps to find clients, to create successful businesses, to create profitable businesses.

That's the whole point. We want to keep health coaches in business so that we can keep doing the work because the world needs us. But along the way, like over the past however many years, seven years, I saw where some coaches were getting stuck. I saw things that were limiting their growth, things that either weren't covered in their health coach certification programs or common weak areas, missing skills, and that's when I started to dabble in creating other courses for health coaches to fill those gaps. So seven years after it all began, I would like to reintroduce you to Healthy Profit University, or as we call it H P U, no longer a single course, but we really have a true university with course offerings to support you wherever you're at in your health coaching career. Now, several of our courses are already approved for CE credits by the NBHWC.

That's the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching. We are in the process of working on the rest of our courses getting approved as well. So that will be coming. So, our core curriculum remains at the heart of Healthy Profit University. My goal with this comprehensive curriculum is to help you earn a living, doing the... doing the work that you love. It is a must for new coaches, for experienced coaches, anyone who is looking for a consistent stream of clients. And this course is worth a whole bunch of CE credits through the NBHWC, but I want to warn you about something. Our core curriculum is meant to help you build your business, starting with the strong foundation. It's not about let's get rich quick. It's not about trendy social media hacks or tricking algorithms or DMing people all day, none of that. In fact, social media really isn't the focus at all.

Now that being said, there is something powerful about being part of alive led group or a cohort, right, where everyone is doing the same thing at the same time. You get that group vibe and there's that comradery among all the members of the group. It can be extremely effective in making progress or this is what I have found to be true, which is why once a year I lead a group of health coaches through the core curriculum in real time. We are working together. This is our Fast Track semester during Fast Track we meet every single week. The group is keeping pace with each other. We make a ton of progress in a very short period of time, and then I throw in a whole bunch of extras and bonuses, a whole boatload of stuff.

Kind of meta I know, but so many coaches want to create an online course, and this is something that I did for the very first time in my own health coaching practice way back when in 2010. Since then, I've generated seven figures through online courses alone, and I'll show you how to bring your idea to life inside online courses for health coaches. And the last course inside our university that I'll tell you about today is our coaching skills course.

It's called Confident Coaching for Health Coaches. And this is for the coach who, you know, want a client. You want more clients, but you also kind of don't because you're kind of scared to take on the clients because you're not sure if you can really help them. It makes sense when you're first starting out. It makes sense even if you've been in practice for a while to have some of that lingering imposter syndrome. I just don't actually know how to do the work with clients feeling very common, very normal.
